There is no way that Smith gets traded like that.
He is worth more than a 2nd round pick, which is what you are valuing him at. Actually, it's more like a low 2nd round pick. The draft value chart would help to look at once in a while, guys.

He's more like a high 1st rounder. The 49ers are going to have to throw in more in order for the trade to be approved.

its not really fair fair but i think in all honesty it can be looked at as fair.

im pretty sure they are trading up to that spot to get Quinn or Russell thats why they are trading, and im okay with it

Alex Smith is becoming a great QB. He will (in the next two to three years) be looked at in the same breath as players like Brady and Manning. He's that good.

Uh, ever heard of "We're going to try and go beyond one year?" I heard Smith's rating in Madden will be around 91 next year.

no way is smith gonna be a 91. he had 16 tds and 16 ints. he had an improving year but it doesnt make him worth that much. if hes 91 vince young will be 99
