last year 2 people got career highs in scoring, one of which was on his like 3rd year playing give or take (so not much oportunity to break out prior to that) and not to mention Amare was out so those players had more oportunities. A lot of people got ripped out of winning MVP last year, also Shaq shoulda won it 2 years ago IMO

Boykins was pretty good as well (didnt he get his career high that year? Or was that last year?) And besides, the nuggets needed a player like Melo more than the Cavs needed a player like Lebron (also Cavs had a worse record in the season before)
